The real estate lawyers at Lexys can review the purchase agreement of a real estate property for you. It is often possible to agree on a fixed price for this so that you know in advance where you stand. The lawyer will then go over all the documents relevant to the purchase. This includes not only the purchase agreement, but also, for example, the subdivision deed and other documents from the Land Registry. Depending on exactly what your wishes and concerns are, the lawyer will agree with you on how you will receive the advice. Sometimes a short telephone conversation is sufficient, but in other cases it may be desirable to receive a more extensive written advice.
It does not matter what type of purchase agreement is involved. Our lawyers have extensive experience advising on the NVM purchase agreement and its deviations, but also with the Amsterdam model sales contract. They are trained to quickly spot deviations from those models and can advise on the scope of special provisions, such as a age clause or non-self-occupancy clause. Lexys' real estate lawyers also have extensive experience in advising on purchase agreements that do not conform to a particular model.
Because Lexys attorneys are broadly oriented within real estate law, they can advise on the purchase agreement regardless of what type of property is involved. You can turn to our lawyers for advice on the purchase of a home, advice on the purchase of a commercial property, advice on the purchase of an apartment or advice on the purchase of a recreational property. The lawyers will not only advise on the content of the purchase agreement, but will also tell you exactly what you are buying. When buying a holiday home, for example, the question is often whether you are actually buying the home itself, or only the right to occupy it. With a home or commercial property in a larger building, you may not be buying full ownership, but an apartment right. Our lawyers can tell you exactly how that works.
